Drupal is Very Involved.
I am in the process of installing and, hopefully, using a Drupal powered site. There is an incredeble assortment of modules that can be added to the base install. It is overwhelming! Thus the need for me to post my Drupal related notes here.
Doing so will give me the freedom to uninstall and reinstall Drupal when I screw it up.
Such a time has come to re-install. I installed the module called categories. This module comes with an assortment of ’sub’ modules that you can use. I am totally mixed up as to what I can do with this module and how to use it.
In Drupal, when you install a module, there are often multiple steps to configure the thing. Not that I am complaining. The learning curve to figure out what each module does and if it is in fact what you want is very steep.
With Wordpress, you can either create a post or a page. This arrangement works extremely well. I hav used both of these features and like them both. In Drupal, you can have a page, a blog post, a story, a book, ectera When to use what can take some time to get used to.
Anyway, I can go on and on. Needless to say, I should have been keeping notes way before now. I have alot of extra work ahead of me in order to document what I have done.
